There’s a finite audience for reading about music. And they like the print edition. They find it valuable and on and on and on.
Jann Wenner, Rolling Stone magazine.
This is so fucked up on so many levels.
Seriously Jann, it’s easy, you have a wonderful library of content – written and pictures and so forth – pls make it easier to search and access, for one.
Then, please use tumblr as the centerpiece to your Rollingstone.com web strategy, let me and few of my friends program it (without restriction), we will post interesting and weird music content and tunes and pictures and quotes all day from all around the web (and from RS.com), in 6 months you will have thousands of new users and maybe revitalize what was once an amazing brand, and you will have a new and more lucrative business.
Hell, yeah. Dibs on a series of posts tying Avedon’s “The Family” portraits to music!
